Getting Started: Materials

Fibers

Peru is home to some of the highest quality fibers, including pima cotton, alpaca and highland wool. Others such as cashmere and merino wool are regularly imported and then expertly spun and finished in Peru, qualifying them for duty-free status to the US and other countries.

Yarns

An endless combination of thickness, twist and fibers can be spun at Peru’s exceptional mills. We’re here to guide you through the technical aspects such as lead times, minimums, care instructions, as well as aesthetics, such as drape, volume and hand feel. And of course, price point.

Dyes

Yarns can be dyed custom colors at reasonable minimums. There’s a wide variety of options, from industrial dyes, semi-industrial, hand dyes, and natural dyes, as well as a wide range of garment dyes which can add a tremendous value and innovation to products.

Stock Service

A wide variety of stock service yarns are offered for all seasons in beautiful colors, which help avoid yarn lead times and minimums. If you also have a set yarn, we can also hold this for you in greige at our own warehouse and dye as needed to help reduce lead times.
